I find it wholesome to be alone the greater part of the time. To be in company, even with the best, is soon wearisome and dissipating. I love to be alone. I never found the companion that was so companionable as solitude.

PSA to friends and family: This is kinda gonna be how it is with me on the bike for most of this year (more than usual). All for a good cause. Promise.

enjoyed the Cyclocross national championships from Madison. Decent coverage, though it could have used a better technical approach. After the race was over, the little guy fell asleep so I went for a run. Lots of snow in Black Forest still. More on Wednesday will make for a nice scene!

End of an interesting and challenging but rewarding year. I hope everyone has a healthy 2012 and the good things you are hoping for happen, whatever they may be.

team zendoughnut: Will you ride with me?

zendoughnut:

I am trying to start something, but realize it is bigger than one man and a computer with a love to ride his bike. I am trying to now start a 501c3 non-profit corporation and would like the proceeds to go to fighting children’s cancer. I think of what I went through more than five years ago and…

Seriously.
